WELCOME TO MY HISTORY CLASS. HOPE YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE!
What you see here on the right is a cave art painting. Cave men would draw in caves to show what they did in there life activities. Like they would draw how they hunted animals and just animals. Some of tools they used were colored rocks and other material they found. Here is a website where it talks about how they made there weapons. http://humanorigins.si.edu/evidence/behavior/tools/early-tools

This is about the early men, we also call them hominids. As you can see each hominid gets bigger every time. There are 6 hominids. There is one hominid that scientist studied to find out more about them, her name was Lucy. She was a Australopithecus afarensis. They found out that she lived about 3 million years ago. All the hominids were able to walk on two feet so they were able to carry there young. Homo habalis were the first to make tools. The tools were not complex they were weak but still helpful. The next ones are homo erectus. They were the first hominid to discover the ability to make fire. Scientists believe they used fire to make torches and used the torches to see in caves . Next is homo sapiens neanderthals they made better hunting tools and started living in a small community. About 20 or more of them lived in the same cave. Then there is the homo sapiens sapiens they were the first to make cave art. They are modern humans, they look so much like us.
Then this is about how hunters and gathers became farmers. The stone age gets its name from the weapons people made of stone. People divided this into two sections the paleolithic age and neolithic age.The paleolithic age is when people got food by hunting or gathering food. The neolithic age is when people started farming and when people started living in one place. The neolithic age began when people learned to raise animals and plant crops. In paleolithic age people did not have food to store they just had enough for about one meal a day. But in the neolithic age people had extra food to store for another day. Then people started creating a permanent home so they wont have to move every now and then. So then people started making houses together creating a small community. People started giving people jobs. Some people were farmers others were blacksmiths and others had different jobs. Living in a communitie was also good so people could trade. It is good to trade so people could get stuff they need.

Hunters use weapons to catch animals to feed the people. Gathers gather up crops that they grow. It all started from someone dropping a seed and not knowing and after they found out they tried to figure out what grew that and they found out. That's how it all started.
